Panorama Situ Cangkuang - copyright Why 03/16

Lukisan ini juga tentang panorama Situ Cangkuang tetapi menggunakan media cat acrylic, agak kurang glossy jika dibandingkan cat minyak. Lukisan ini dibuat di atas canvas board Winsor & Newton berukuran 40 x 60cm. Saya menggunakan cat acrylic merk Liquitex Basic dan Louvre, dengan tambahan penggunaan Amsterdam Acrylic medium glossy dan matt.

Tantangan yang dihadapi yaitu bagaimana menghadirkan suasana danau dengan bayangan pepohonan dengan menggunakan cat acrylic. Prinsipnya sebetulnya sama jika kita melukis dengan cat minyak.

Untuk warna langit, saya gunakan paduan warna titanium white, cobalt blue serta sedikit sentuhan yellow ochre dan alizarin crimson. Untuk warna awan terdiri dari beberapa layer. Layer pertama yaitu bagian gelap, menggunakan paduan warna titanium white, cerulean blue serta sedikit sentuhan yellow ochre dan alizarin crimson. Layer kedua menggunakan paduan warna titanium white, cerulean blue serta sedikit sentuhan cadmium yellow deep dan alizarin crimson. Layer ketiga (bagian yang merefleksikan cahaya) menggunakan paduan warna titanium white serta sedikit sentuhan cadmium yellow deep dan alizarin crimson. Terakhir, bagian awan yang terang menggunakan paduan warna titanium white dan sedikit sentuhan cadmium yellow deep. 

This painting is also about the panorama Cangkuang Lake but using acrylic paint media, somewhat less glossy than oil paint. This painting was created on canvas board Winsor & Newton of 40 x 60cm. I used acrylic paints Liquitex Basic brands and the Louvre, with the additional use Amsterdam Acrylic glossy and matt medium.
The challenge was how to bring the atmosphere of the lake with the shadow of the trees by using acrylic paint. The principle wass actually the same if we paint with oil paint.
For the color of the sky, I used a color mixing of titanium white, cobalt blue and a touch of yellow ocher and alizarin crimson. To color the clouds consist of several layers. The first layer was the dark part, using a mix of colors titanium white, Cerulean Blue, and a touch of yellow ochre and alizarin crimson. The second layer using a blend of colors titanium white, Cerulean Blue, and a touch of deep cadmium yellow and alizarin crimson. The third layer (the part that reflects light) using a titanium alloy white color and a touch of deep cadmium yellow and alizarin crimson. Lastly, part of a bright cloud using a blend of colors titanium white and a touch of cadmium yellow deep.
